Cox London was founded by sculptors Christopher and Nicola Cox, who met at art school in 1993. The couple now lead a growing team of artists, engineers, and finishing specialists from their Tottenham workshop, where each bespoke piece of lighting, furniture, or sculptural art is made to order.

In 2007 husband and wife Chris and Nicola Cox bought a workshop shed on the Millmead Industrial Estate in Tottenham. With its Sheffield beams, double-height workspace and north facing skylights it provided good working light and as the business has thrived and grown the couple leased three more units - giving them 20,000 square feet of workshops, including space for their own foundry. There they manufacturer bespoke lighting, furniture, mirrors, and objects, working primarily in materials such as iron, bronze, glass, and stone. The company a showroom on Pimlico Road in Belgravia. Cox London works with private clients, interior designers, and architects internationally, and also undertakes restoration of damaged pieces alongside its bespoke commission work.
"Cox London is a really impressive company with a huge array of skills under one roof. It's so nice that Chris and Nicola clearly still enjoy designing and making alongside running the business." Carmel King photographed Cox London in November 2021 for Made in London.
