Beefeaters, colonels and royalty get their ceremonial and parade uniforms from an industrial estate in Tottenham. Kashket & Partners make more than 5000 bespoke items a year, from scarlet tunics and riding breeches to ladies' regimental ball gowns. The company describes itself as Europe's largest bespoke tailoring factory that handmakes everything from scratch. The fourth generation business was started by Alfred Kashket, a Russian milliner who made felt hats for Tsar Nicholas II. He fled to England as a political refugee in the 1920s and resumed tailoring. Kashket & Partners was founded in 1951. Alfred's son, master tailor Bernard Kashket MBE took on the business who in turn handed it on to his sons Russell and Marlon Kashket and grandson Nathan. The company moved from Hoxton to bigger premises in Tottenham in 2004.

With a dedicated team of over 50 bespoke tailors and skilled artisans their workroom has the skills to make a fully hand-made suit and bespoke uniforms for members of many Royal Families, including Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and his Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh and the wedding uniforms for Prince William and Prince Harry. Among the sixty staff are three married couples and one mother and son. Some staff are very long-standing, among them the production manager, head cutter and head of trouser production, who have been with the company 22, 23 and 26 years respectively.
